THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Administrator to join our team in Wingham, New South Wales, who will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of Wingham Beef’s multi-site computer operations including but not limited to computerized equipment, software, technical IT support and administrations, and IT security.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position fulfils the need for localized, professional IT co-ordination that supports and underpins centralised IT services and infrastructure delivered by NH Foods IT Division.

Additionally, the scope of the role is broadened to encompass assigned project work and general administrative assistance, as directed and with time permitting.

  • Accept day-to-day responsibility for administration and smooth operation of all computers, computerized equipment and software programs
  • Take responsibility for various software and hardware packages and provide IT solutions to operational problems occurring from time to time
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support to end-users and ensuring mobile phone contact, specifically for production and other business critical systems
  • Liaise and manage internal and external business relationship to ensure the effective delivery of company-wide IT solutions for: systems maintenance, upgrades, licensing, spare parts inventory, system backup, recovery, and security
  • Ensure compliance with associated and related industry and legislative regulations
  • Co-ordinate the efficient, cost-effective acquisition or repair of IT and Telecommunications equipment
  • Identify and manage business improvement opportunities by coordinating the implementation of enhanced processes, technology and telecommunication solutions

ABOUT YOU

Qualification, Experience & Skills we are looking for:

  • Relevant industry qualification or experience equivalent
  • A minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Must have knowledge in Microsoft Windows 10 and the following experience and knowledge, SQL, Windows Servers, Server storage array & Virtualization experience
  • Strong verbal and written skills proven ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Display commitment to quality and strong multi-talking skills
  • Adherence to shift schedules and timeliness are key requirements
  • Effective time management skills
  • Demonstrated effective judgement and decision making
  • Current driver’s license essential
