What is the opportunity?

We are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to join our team. Previous experience as a tradesperson in the mechanical engineering field or fitter/turner experience would be seen as advantageous, with prior managerial experience.

To be based in Wingham NSW (Mid North Coast NSW)

The successful applicant would be required to control engineering and maintenance services at our Beef Processing facility.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of maintenance and engineering services through the General Manager.
  • Effectively plan and leave assigned engineering or major R & M / capital projects; and assist, as directed.
  • Manage the workers and activities of the Maintenance Department.
  • Lead activities of the maintenance store to ensure timely and cost-efficient supply of items.
  • Overseeing repairs, installations, and upkeep of buildings and facilities.
  • Oversea the rostering of employees and contractors at Wingham Beef site.
  • Performing ongoing inspections to ensure preventative and proactive maintenance continues.
  • Work with Production and Quality departments to ensure compliance with Regulatory and Customer requirements.

The Successful Applicant Would Have:

  • Engineering or trade diploma, certificate or equivalent
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills
  • Developing and implementing maintenance strategies, plans, and procedures
  • Leading and managing the team of maintenance tradesman.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Knowledge and skills to implement lean manufacturing to achieve efficiencies and cost-saving measures.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
