About us

Oakey Beef Exports (Australia) Pty Ltd forms part of the NH Foods group of companies. The Company operates a one of Australia’s largest beef processing facility in Oakey, Queensland.

About the role

Challenging and rewarding full-time permanent role is on offer at our site in Oakey. The successful candidate will be presented with opportunities to:

  • Develop and design systems to enhance facility processes
  • Assist in developing, managing and implementing site capital budget
  • Take control of special projects as directed
  • Shape future direction of the business by developing systems to reduce environmental impacts

About you

We’re looking for someone who is innovative, smart and not afraid to challenge the status quo.

You will possess the ability to produce quality outcomes, plans, designs, systems and ideas that enhance the overall effectiveness of a plant that employs in excess of 700 people.

Whilst being surrounded by a supportive team, you will be able to work effectively autonomously and require supervision only as required.

Ideally, candidates with the following attributes are encouraged to apply:

  • Experience managing medium – large projects and project teams (desirable)
  • Practical experience with maintenance management (preferred)
  • Previous experience with budgeting and cost control
  • Strong MS Office suite application
  • Proficient in use of drafting software and other maintenance software such as AutoCAD, MEX or similar
  • Engineering or trade qualification
