From 27 to 31 May 2026, our team attended THAIFEX – Anuga Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, one of the region’s largest food and beverage trade exhibitions. The event is a gathering of importers, distributors, retailers, foodservice operators and manufacturers from across Asia and beyond, providing a snapshot of the trends shaping the region’s food industry.

Throughout the exhibition, conversations with customers highlighted the growing recognition of premium Australian beef in the Thai market. On display, were our brands Angus Reserve Black Angus Beef, Oakey Premium Wagyu, and OMUGI Grainfed Beef.

Of particular interest to attendees, was a cooking demonstration of our Angus Reserve beef, with many stopping to sample the beef and learn more about our beef programs. 

Another theme consistently raised in discussions throughout Thailand and the Philippines was the influence of rising disposable incomes, particularly among younger generations. As consumers gain greater spending power, many are seeking out new food experiences, premium products and the latest dining trends. This shift is contributing to increased demand for high-quality beef and presents continued opportunities for premium Australian brands across Southeast Asia.

THAIFEX 2026 highlighted both the momentum behind premium beef in the region and the changing preferences of a new generation of consumers, signalling continued growth potential for Australian beef in these markets.

Strengthening relationships with our existing customers, while identifying new opportunities across Southeast Asia, remains a key focus of our international market activities. Through these visits, we aim to deliver the joy of eating to markets where appreciation for high-quality beef continues to grow.
