Last week, the inaugural ALFA Future Feeders Network Forum brought together more than 230 people from across the feedlot industry for a day of learning, networking, and inspiration in Toowoomba.
The team from our feedlot, Whyalla Beef, was proud to be part of the occasion, contributing as an event sponsor and presenters during the program. Afternoon tea was on us, and the charcuterie-style spread proved a real hit, creating a buzz among delegates as they gathered to connect over good food. Adding to the fun, our beef tallow boot polish giveaways stood out as a unique keepsake, offering something outside the usual conference fare.

The Forum offered a strong mix of professional development and industry insight, with presentations and discussions that left attendees energised to take new ideas back to their own operations. For our team, it was also a valuable opportunity to connect with peers from right across the country, as well as suppliers and service providers who we don’t often get to see in person.
The event’s success highlighted both the strength of the next generation of feedlot leaders and the importance of creating spaces where ideas, knowledge, and experiences can be shared.
