Experienced Beef Boner, Slicers & Slaughterman

Wingham Beef Exports are recognised for producing some of Australia’s finest grassfed beef, including our most awarded grassfed beef brand ‘Manning Valley Naturally’.

We are seeking motivated and skilled Beef Boners, Slicers & Slaughterman who have industrial experience in a processing plant. IMMEDIATE START.

Purchasing Officer -Entry/ Intermediate Level

This is an exciting and rare entry-level opportunity to establish a long-term career locally! Oakey Beef Exports is one of Australia’s largest and most advanced processing plants, offering diverse learning experiences, long-term career opportunities and large-scale resources!

Working closely with our production teams and reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, your role will be to:

  • Receive, gain approvals and purchase goods requested by employees and managers;
  • Place orders with suppliers within deadlines to ensure items are kept in stock;
  • Monitor stock levels and order status, responding proactively to low stock and delays;
  • Provide prompt responses to suppliers regarding weekly scheduled deliveries;
  • Conduct weekly stock counts for production items and record stock movements; and
  • Collaborate with management and suppliers to forecast and order in alignment with lead times.

 

This position is based within our Main Office working Monday – Friday in Oakey, QLD.

Maintenance Fitter

An exciting and diverse opportunity to work locally with one of Australia’s largest, most technologically advanced processing plants!

What is the opportunity?

Oakey Beef Exports is one of Australia’s largest and most advanced processing plants, offering a unique opportunity to work locally with the resources of an industry leader! Diversify your experience with a range of class-leading equipment, machinery and robotics.

You’ll be joining a highly skilled team of Maintenance Fitters and work closely with other Maintenance tradespersons. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, your role will be to:

  • Perform comprehensive fault-finding and diagnostic assessments across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, low voltage electrical and robotics systems;
  • Conduct end-to-end fabrication and modification of replacement parts including use of lathes and mills;
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and deliver rapid repairs to reduce downtime;
  • Carry out repairs, replacements and adjustments on range of machinery from pumps to motors, conveyors and gearboxes;
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures, holding safety as the highest priority; and
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to support operations.

 

This position will work a rotating roster, provided approximately 10 weeks in advance. Shift start times will vary between 3:00am and 10:00pm.

Boilermaker -Varied Industrial Projects

What is the opportunity?

Oakey Beef Exports is one of Australia’s largest and most advanced processing plants, offering a unique opportunity to work locally with the resources of an industry leader! Diversify your experience with a range of class-leading equipment, machinery and robotics.

You’ll be joining a highly skilled team of Boilermakers and work closely with other Maintenance tradespersons. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, your role will be to:

  •  Deliver a diverse variety of MIG, TIG and Arc work, from small workshop to heavy industrial projects;
  • Attend to projects across plant, working alongside other Maintenance tradespersons;
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures, holding safety as the highest priority; and
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support operations and reduce downtime.

 

This position will work a rotating roster, provided approximately 10 weeks in advance. Shift start times will vary between 3:00am and 10:00pm.

Maintenance Procurement Coordinator

Oakey Beef Exports is one of Australia’s largest and most advanced processing plants, offering a unique local opportunity to apply your knowledge of mechanical/ electrical parts and establish a career off the tools. You’ll be supporting a highly skilled Maintenance team -ranging from Fitters and Turners to Electricians and Boilermakers -playing a key role in the smooth operation of a world-class facility.

Working closely with our Maintenance team and reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, your role will be to:

  • Control all purchasing activity for maintenance-related goods and servicing;
  • Monitor, action and escalate stock/ parts ordering in alignment with critical rating system;
  • Work closely alongside our Maintenance crew to understand and deliver part needs;
  • Raise purchase orders and manage accounts related emails for serving & CAPEX;
  • Work closely with range of suppliers to source parts in a time and cost efficient manor;
  • Track ETA’s/ ETD’s and collaborated with our Warehouse team on receivals; and
  • Provide high-level purchasing support to ensure stock levels are maintained.

 

This position is based within our Main Office, working Monday-Friday in Oakey, QLD.

 

Maintenance Electrician

Oakey Beef Exports is one of Australia’s largest and most advanced processing plants, offering a unique opportunity to work locally with the resources of an industry leader! Diversify your experience with a range of class-leading equipment, machinery and robotics.

You’ll be joining a highly skilled team of Electricians and work closely with other Maintenance tradespersons. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, your role will be to:

  • Service, maintain and repair electrical systems across a diverse range of equipment;
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC’s, robotics and automated systems;
  • Respond and rectify electrical faults and breakdowns across the plant;
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures, holding safety as the highest priority;
  • Support plant shutdowns, installations, upgrades and capital projects; and
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support operations and reduce downtime.

 

This position will work a rotating roster, provided approximately 10 weeks in advance.
