R U OK? Day was a chance for teams across our Group to pause, connect and check in with each other.
This year’s message, “If you’re thinking it… ask”, was brought to life across our sites and offices through lunches, BBQs, activities and conversations about looking out for the people around us.
At our Oakey site, the team came hosted a BBQ lunch, with volunteers starting preparations as early as 3am to make 1,000 steak burgers! Teams across the site pitched in, from preparing tomatoes and bread rolls to serving lunch and joining colleagues in the lunchrooms. Members of the local police also joined the team for lunch and showed their support for the day.

At our feedlot, the team held an R U OK? sausage sizzle, catching up over lunch and checking in with each other.

In North Sydney, the head office team worked together to prepare and enjoy lunch cooked by our brand partner Chef Jason Roberts using our Angus Reserve Black Angus Beef. Everyone played a part, with groups taking responsibility for shopping, setting up, preparing vegetables and cleaning up.

While each team celebrated differently, the focus was the same: making time to connect and creating space for conversations that can make a difference.
Coming together over food is also a simple way to connect with the people around us. Whether it’s a BBQ at work or sharing a meal with friends and family, these moments bring people together and reflect the connection at the heart of our mission: delivering The Joy of Eating.
Keep up with us on:
