The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW President’s Medal is widely regarded as the highest honour for food and beverage excellence in Australia. Presented annually since 2006, the President’s Medal recognises producers who deliver the very best Australian products, whilst also demonstrating environmental stewardship, social responsibility, financial sustainability, governance, resilience and contribution to industry. It is a comprehensive celebration of excellence across the entire production cycle.

To be eligible for consideration for the President’s Medal, finalists must first secure a category win, and back in 2018, Manning Valley Naturally was announced Sydney Royal Champion Beef winner for the Branded Meat category.

This opened the door for the brand to make history, becoming the first beef brand to be selected as a finalist for the 13th President’s Medal, alongside five of Australia’s finest brands. This marked a significant milestone for our brand, and for the beef industry as a whole, setting a new benchmark for premium Australian beef producers to strive for.

Produced at our Wingham plant on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Manning Valley Naturally has consistently set and exceeded the standards for quality, integrity and provenance. Our commitment to 100 per cent grassfed production, no antibiotics or hormone growth promotants, and strong relationships with our local producers has underpinned the brand’s continued success for almost 15 years.

With over a decade of history under its belt, Manning Valley Naturally has been recognised by multiple fine food shows across the nation. The full list of Champion award achievements for Manning Valley Naturally grassfed beef is:

Building on these achievements, in 2019 we were awarded the NSW Department of Primary Industries’ (DPI) Innovation Award, becoming the first beef producer to receive this recognition as part of the President’s Medal event.

We were presented with the NSW DPI Innovation Award in recognition of the success our Wingham plant, which has demonstrably exceeded industry standards through innovation across production, research, development, marketing and consumer engagement. With a world-leading and well recognised oversight system in place for all Australian beef production, our Wingham plant is constantly monitored for food safety and quality measurements. In addition, with the ever-growing interest by beef consumers into the origins of their food, the plant works closely with cattle producers to ensure correct procedures are consistently maintained with regard to animal welfare and eating quality attributes.

From our 30 national food show award wins, all the way through to our recognition in the President’s Medal program, our Manning Valley Naturally brand continues to demonstrate what is possible when quality, innovation, and producer relationships are held as equally important in the supply chain.

Today, we remain just as committed to spearheading progress across our industry, continuing to deliver premium beef products while supporting our local producers and communities, and upholding sustainable agricultural practices.
