Our Domestic Sales team, Beef Producers Australia (BPA), has been recognised as Meat Supplier of the Year at the 2026 Metcash Supplier of the Year Awards, held recently at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.
The Metcash Supplier of the Year Awards were held on 7 May and featured suppliers from across 18 food, grocery, and fresh categories.
“The Metcash Food Supplier of the Year Awards are a moment for us to reflect and celebrate an incredible year with our key supplier partners who continue to demonstrate unwavering support for the independent network,” Grant Ramage, Metcash Food CEO, said.
“We would like to say a big congratulations to all of our supplier nominees and award winners. This recognition serves as a thank you for the amazing partnerships and the ongoing hard work that goes into supporting and growing the independent network. We are looking forward to another strong year.”
The annual awards recognise suppliers that have demonstrated strong performance and partnership across Metcash’s independent retail network. The Meat Supplier of the Year category is judged on overall sales performance and the strength of supplier collaboration. BPA supplies Metcash with our Oakey Black Grainfed Beef brand, which has helped build a strong and consistent presence within the independent retail channel.
BPA has supplied Metcash for 15 years, building a long-standing partnership based on consistent, high quality beef products.
This latest recognition marks BPA’s third Meat Supplier of the Year title, following previous wins in 2017 and 2018. The team has also been nominated every year since the awards program began.
