We’re proud to announce that we will be returning to Rockhampton in 2027 as a Major Sponsor of Beef Australia to continue our support of one of the Australian beef industry’s most exciting events.
Taking place in Rockhampton, Queensland, from 2–8 May 2027, Beef Australia brings together the entire beef supply chain, from producers, industry professionals, exhibitors, researchers and students, to chefs and international visitors for a week-long celebration of the Australian beef industry.
Dating back to 1988, Beef Australia was first held as a one-off event as part of Australia’s Bicentenary celebrations. Following its success, the event returned in 1991 and has since been held every three years, growing into the premier beef industry event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
In 2024, we were a Supporting Partner of Beef Australia, where we connected with producers, customers and international stakeholders, while showcasing our brands and the people behind them.
Our marquee became a hub throughout the week, showcasing our Angus Reserve Black Angus Beef, Manning Valley Naturally Grassfed Beef and OMUGI Grainfed Beef brands to visitors who were keen to learn more about our brands and our business. Daily sundowners served as a meeting point for producers and industry stakeholders for relaxed evenings of conversation and connection, with food prepared by our brand partner Chef Jason Roberts.
We also hosted Career Chats with local school students, with members of our team sharing their personal career journeys, career pathways and opportunities across agriculture. Our involvement extended to Beef TV, with Whyalla Beef feedlot General Manager Tony Fitzgerald discussing our feedlot expansion and branded beef programs.
In 2024, Beef Australia recorded its highest attendance, with 125,576 visitors, including attendees from across Australia and 39 countries internationally. More than 1,200 international delegates also attended outside the official program.
Beef Australia plays a significant economic and tourism role for the region, generating an estimated $102 million in total direct and incremental expenditure, and creating the equivalent of 721 full-time jobs in 2024. Across the wider Queensland economy, the event contributed $69.6 million and created 659 full-time job equivalents across Greater Rockhampton.
