Nothin’ But Beef Day

Nothin’ But Beef Day

Posted July 2026

Producers from across New South Wales and Queensland came together at Texas Angus Stud’s Nothin’ But Beef Day to hear from industry leaders and discuss the future of premium beef production.

With around 500 attendees and Australia’s largest display of sale bulls, the event brought together knowledge from all across the industry, from genetics and farm management to processing, export markets and finance. Beyond the panel discussions and lunch, the day also supported the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, with all funds raised donated to the charity.

The morning program opened with an economic update from NAB Chief Economist Dr Sally Auld before our team took part in a panel discussion led by MC, Hamish McIntyre.

Tony Fitzgerald, General Manager of our feedlot, Whyalla Beef, Brett Williams, General Manager of our Oakey processing plant, and Anthony Naticchia, Export Sales Manager, shared how Angus Reserve, Australia’s Largest Verified Black Angus Beef brand, is built on strong relationships throughout the supply chain and underpinned by consistency.

Also joining the panel was our brand partner and Chef Jason Roberts, who offered a different perspective by sharing what consistency and quality mean in a kitchen, where delivering the same eating experience every time is crucial.

Following the panel discussion, attendees got to see what all the fuss was about and try some Angus Reserve beef for themselves. Jason cooked up rib eye steaks over an open fire, served with house-made salsa verde.

The afternoon program featured presentations from Gallagher, AuctionsPlus and Mort & Co Fertilisisers, before attendees spent the rest of the day inspecting cattle, catching up with fellow producers and continuing the conversations started throughout the morning.

Thanks to Texas Angus Stud for hosting another great Nothin’ But Beef Day, and to everyone from our team who helped make it happen.
